The technically flawless and safe operation of a substation is just as important for a wind farm as good wind conditions. Since we cannot supply you with the wind, we minimise the technical risk for you through our expertise in managing transformer stations.
All activities in our operational management of substations are aimed at minimising faults, damage and downtimes.
My goal is to analyse the future needs of the market, to sustainably improve daily business and to generate added value for our customers.
Your substation is monitored 24/7 by a control system and all incoming error and status messages are checked. Our second redundant emergency reporting system ensures that even in the event of a failure of the primary control system, we are informed at all times of important error and status messages so that we can immediately initiate further necessary steps. Problems at the substation can thus be quickly eliminated around the clock and, depending on the event, measures can be initiated such as necessary switching operations remotely or on site, initiation and execution of fault clearance operations and coordination with the grid operator and wind farm operators.
We document all maintenance, repairs and error messages in detail and make them available to you in proper manner. energy consult monitors and tracks important dates, such as the end of manufacturer warranties or the due date of DGUV V3 tests. We store all data relating to your substation in a suitable form in a special database.
In order to ensure high availability and low repair costs in the long term, the substation must be checked and maintained at regular intervals for developing defects or defects that have already occurred. In addition to legal or official requirements, the implementation of such controls is recommended for reasons of an optimal asset management system of the turbine in order to detect damages early and to increase the availability of the substation as a whole.
In order to avoid substation breakdowns and to make necessary repairs during windless periods, it is important not only to check the current status of critical components but also to continuously monitor the development of their status. In addition to the current status of relevant components, our experts also analyse whether trends in their properties provide information about developing damage – for planning preventive repairs.
As the plant operator, you are legally obliged to ensure the proper and safe operation of your substation by carrying out repair and maintenance work – for this purpose we appoint a plant manager from our specialist teams. Thus, our experienced electricians assume the necessary responsibility at all times when working on or near your systems, so that special hazards can be assessed when working on electrotechnical systems and work safety measures are observed.
